About Us

Who We Are

The Marigold Guild of Needle Arts is a non-profit organization aimed at promoting and teaching the art of embroidery in Truro, Nova Scotia.

What began in 1983 with 41 charter members wanting to share their passion for needlework, continues today. Many members volunteer their time and talents to ensure that the guild continues to inspire and educate fellow members.

Our Purpose

A chapter of the Embroiderers' Association of Canada (EAC), the guild has the same purpose:

EAC Objectives: To encourage and promote the practice and knowledge of the art of embroidery in all its forms; to have fellowship of persons who enjoy needlework and wish to learn and share their knowledge; and thereby to work towards maintaining higher standards of design, color and workmanship.
