Workshops

Guild Workshops

Guild workshops are organized and taught (usually by in-house members). Members teach a wide variety of projects in various techniques and at all skill levels. During stitch-ins, groups meet to assist the beginners, as well as enable the more advanced stitchers to expand their knowledge and ability.

SCEIF Workshops (Stitchers' Ceilidh Educational Investment Fund)

NOTE: The SCEIF fund is now CLOSED!

These were workshops funded by the SCEIF to bring in a visiting teacher.

This fund was set up with monies derived from Seminar 2003 (when our guild hosted a very successful seminar, Stitchers' Ceilidh). It was decided that the money would be used to benefit members with additional educational opportunities in needle arts:

  • funding for "named" teachers (up to 2 per year) to workshops providing skill levels for the intermediate to advanced teacher to cover travel and teaching fees.
  • yearly grant for an EAC correspondence course
  • yearly grant for a seminar attendee
  • funding for one MGNA project per year through the Program Committee
  • Mini Marigolds benefits as above

Detailed information on the SCEIF can be found in the MGNA Constitution & Policy Manual Handbook
